Photo Augmentation
Photo augmentation is the term we use to describe a very cool feature we have developed for several of our clients. This is a feature which allows users of an app to take a photo of themselves, their car, their home (anything really) and modify the photo with options provided by the application.
For example;
- A sunglasses retailer would be able to include their entire range of optics inside the app, so that when a user takes a photo of their face, they could see what any pair of sunglasses from the range would look like before buying.
- A mag wheel provider could allow users to take a photo of their car and see what any set of mag wheels from their range would look like prior to buying.
This feature is particularly effective if it’s paired up with social media sharing and a GPS location finder.
For example: After a user has their newly created virtual photo, they can share it on Facebook, get their friends opinion of which product from you range looks best and then using the GPS location finder, visit their nearest store to make the purchase.
